Snert

Winter is setting in in Sydney, and it does get really cold (about 17° C) so it was time to make a big pot of Dutch Pea soup (erwtensoep), including smoked sausage (rookworst).

OMG! I am cooking erwtensoep tomorrow and I cannot find *real* rookworst anywhere. Where did you get it?

I used the DON Rookwurst, available at Woollies.

There is also a "Rookwurst" and a "Kookwurst" from the brand called Hans (not me :) ), but havent found them yet.

Thanks, I found the DON rookworst. It is...not awesome. Very salty and not very rookworsty. I used to get the Hans rookworst but it is no longer available, it was a lot better than the DON but is still nowhere near as good as the rookworst in NL. I wish they had HEMA here :)

OF course, I could not find any knolselderij - I looked in 3 supermarkets. I am going to the vege markets tomorrow, will update then.

I wish Hans still made Rookwuurst too, AND I wish Hema was here too of course! I😥 much better than some of the other chains here!
